Day 1

Arrival to Lisbon airport and transfer to the São Mamede Natural Park (3 hours driving). Get refreshed and relax after your journey in the XIII Century Charm Santa Maria Hotel.

Day 2

Following breakfast, take a pleasant walk up to the clouds to visit the highest Castle in Portugal, Marvão. Heading for the São Mamede Natural Park, you’ll start with a very smooth downhill to the medieval city of Castelo de Vide, through a narrow, curved mountain road with trees and greens on both sides. You will be astonished when entering the Knights of the Order of Malta Monastery transformed into a luxury hotel – the Flor da Rosa Monastery – a XIV Century Palace-Monastery of Gothic structures with some XVI Century Manueline details.



Day 3

After breakfast, you will leave the superb hotel-monastery of the Order of Malta. Today you’re going to be heading slightly further southeast, were you should visit the 1748 Royal Lusitanian Horse Harass, one of the most famous horse breeds in the world. Along a leisurely afternoon ride you will come across the Maranhão Dam, a quiet man-made lake in an area of beautiful lowlands and splendorous rugged cliffs. Put your feet up and relax when you arrive at our atmosphere hotel by the lake. The Herdade da Cortesia is a piece of modern and organic architecture, tough enough to be in the heart of nature and preserving its fine structure – its roof was designed to be like a giant leaf!



Day 4

Today pedal to the Portuguese city of tapestries, Arraiolos. Tapestries have been handmade in Arraiolos since the XVII Century, but a legend takes the art of weaving carpets and others pieces to the XII Century! Just imagine the skill and experience acquired in 10 centuries of artistic practice can convey to the hands of these Portuguese handcrafters. On the way to this evening’s accommodation, be sure to visit the dolmen-chapel in Pavia, a national monument from the IV Century b.C. built of a single giant rock. It’s now time to relax in our XVI Century luxury convent – Nossa Sra. da Assunção Historical Hotel – where you will be able to feel history while resting in a perfect symbiosis of traditional and modern concepts of Portuguese architecture.

Day 5

We’ll leave Arraiolos and head to the World Heritage UNESCO city of Évora. This day’s tour will be very different from the previous days as you are going to cycle along an ancient railroad that is out of use and has been turned into a green trail. The terrain is 100% non asphalt, but quite easy to pedal through. Cycle by the ancient railroad stations and marvel at the purple flowers that will escort you all the way to Évora. At the World Heritage city you should visit one of the most famous Wineries and taste some of their finest wines of the Cartuxa Winery. Tonight you will be lodged at the perfect accommodation for such a wonderful city, an exclusive Historic Design Hotel & Spa, M’ar de Ar, located near the city walls. Enjoy the most of this experience and loosen up!

Day 6

Following breakfast, the morning will be spent cycling and visiting the wonderful walled city’s Roman monuments – Diana’s Temple, Bones Chapel, São Francisco’s Church and the Aqueduct. Get lost in those ancient narrow streets. Pedaling back to tonight’s accommodation, it’s time to relax and enjoy the most of this historic atmosphere.

Day 7

For our last stage, we may say that we’ve saved the best for last. You’ll leave our trendy hotel and cycle trough a challenging off-road track, with some of the most incredible scenic landscapes of the Tour. Before you day’s rest, you should visit a Cromlech Megalithic Complex – one of the biggest in Europe – dating from the 6th millennium b.C.; Today’s goal is the fabulous Land Vineyards Resort where you’ll be staying at an incredible Sky Suite that allows you to sleep under the stars. The Wine resort is a piece of modern art with interiors designed by the world famous Architect Márcio Kogan.

Day 8

Today is departure day. During the morning we’ll do the transfers to the airport.
