VANCOUVER – PORT HARDY – NIMMO BAY – SONORA – VANCOUVER

Day 1 & 2 – Vancouver

Meet & greet by your private chauffeur who will transfer you to the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

Start your second day with some exploring of Vancouver’s sights. A guide will collect you in a luxury van to discover the area – including Canada Place, Granville Island, Stanley Park, Gastown and the breathtaking views from the Capalino suspension bridge. Enjoy a gourmet lunch in one of the city’s finest restaurants.

In the afternoon you will be taken to Vancouver airport for a flight to Port Hardy where the Nimmo Bay Staff will be waiting for you with a seaplane to escort you to the Nimmo Bay Resort.

After settling in to your goreous private cabin, where you will stay for 4 nights, enjoy a three-course dinner.

Days 3-6: Nimmo Bay Resort

Early-risers at Nimmo Bay Resort will be delighted by the  7am  yoga session to awaken your body, but for a more relaxing start to the day why not enjoy a soak in the hot tub or simply sleep-in and allow the aromas of homemade cinnamon buns and organic coffee awaken you.

Each day at Nimmo Bay offers different choices in activities:

Helicopter Adventures

Take a helicopter to an otherwise inaccessible destination to fish for salmon, trout, or steelhead in the most remote and pristine rivers of the Great Bear Rainforest

Alternatively, use the helicopter to access the coastal mountains behind Nimmo Bay so that you can hike amongst the heather and wildberries, and forage for wild mushrooms in ancient forests. Or land on a remote coastal beach and explore the wonders with your Naturalist guide.

British Columbia’s fabulous glaciers are also best accessed via helicopter so why not land next to 10,000 year-old glaciers and stare with admiration at their turquoise colour from up close?

Marine Adventures

The inviting waters of British Columbia await you for a day of marine adventures. Water activities available include:

  • Kayaking out to the Broughton Archipelago’s remote islands
  • Whale Watching – watch the orcas and humpack whales in their natual habitat just a 25min boat ride away
  • Bear Watching – a unique opportunity to see black and grizzly bears fish for salmon in the pristine rivers
  • Waterfall tours in an alimunium hull boat. Witness the waterfalls crashing down into the ocean waters.
  • Ocean Fishing for halibat and cod
  • Take a boat to a nearby inlet and hike in the unspoiled nature, discover a hidden lake and jump in for the perfect swim!
  • Sea kayaking, surf biking and paddle boarding

There’s also plenty to keep you occupied in the afternoons, such as massages, a hot-tub at the bottom of a cascading waterfall or for the more adventurous there’s always paintballing in the mystical forest. And come evening, relax with a cocktail underneath the stars.

Day 7-10: Sonora Island

After breakfast take a private seaplane flight to Sonora Resort where you will be based for the rest of your stay in British Columbia. Located within the stunning Discovery Islands the resort is surrounded by true natural wonders where eco-adventure travel meets luxury.

After settling in to your new home, take a private eco-adventure tour of the fabulous surroundings. A boat will allow you to access the waters with- views of killer whales, dolphins sea lions, porpoises and sea birds. The guide will explain about the areas history and ecology as you take in the stunning views along the coastline.
