Whatever you want to do. Wherever you want to go. Whenever you feel like it. These are the only rules that govern our “Design-Your-Dream Tours”, where your own spirit of adventure is your guide, and whatever your heart desires is the ultimate destination.


Day 1 – Arrival Day

Arrive at Cape Town’s International Airport. Collect your luggage and exit into the arrivals hall where you will be greeted by our representative and privately transferred by road to The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel for a 3-night stay.

Enjoying a superb location at the foot of Table Mountain, and just a short stroll from downtown, Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel offers the perfect combination of leafy tranquility and contemporary buzz.
Whether dining on exotic Cape cuisine, soaking up the sun on any of the stunning beaches nearby or getting ready to stroll down fashionable Kloof Street, you will have the ideal central base from which to discover exhilarating Cape Town.

Spend the rest of the day recovering from your International arrival and familiarizing yourself with your new surroundings.

Day 2 – Day at Leisure

Spend the day relaxing and / or exploring the V&A Waterfront. For those needing some time to adjust after the long journey this is the perfect opportunity. For those who bounce back quickly meander through the shops and African markets and take in the vibe of the surrounding area. There are many activities within walking distance or a short drive of your accommodation from the world class aquariam to a boat trip across to Robben Island where you can go on a tour of the prision where Nelson Mandela was held captive.

Day 3 – Full Day Peninsula Tour

Following breakfast, depart your hotel at 8:30am, with your private guide. Enjoy the scenic trip around the world famous Cape Peninsula stopping at highlights along the way.

Your day will include but not be limited to, visiting places such as Cape Point, the Cape of Good Hope where Bartholomew Diaz discovered the sea route to India in 1488 and Boulders Beach where wild penguins co habit with humans.
Weather permitting a stop at the iconic Table Mountain is not to be missed !

Follow the beautiful coastline from Sea Point, past the popular beaches of Clifton and Camp’s Bay to Hout Bay. The journey continues via the famous Chapman’s Peak drive to the shores of False Bay past the villages of Fish Hoek and Muizenberg and back to Cape Town.
Arrive in the late afternoon back at your hotel.

Day 4 – Winelands Transfer

Following breakfast, spend the morning relaxing and preparing for a late morning departure. Pick up time 10:00am.

Enjoy a leisurely private guided drive towards the Winelands stopping en route to visit the Cheetah Outreach Interactive Centre which promotes the survival of the free ranging, Southern African cheetah through environmental education and conservation initiatives.
Stop for a wonderful lunch in the Winelands at one of the estates.

Arrive in the early afternoon at Babylonstoren, your home for the next 2 nights. Settle in before going on a “must do” tour of the estates magnificent gardens.

Day 5 – Full Day Winelands Tour with Kids Activities

Following breakfast, depart by road with your personal guide at 9:00am. Enjoy the scenic trip to the small village of Franschhoek.
The Franschhoek Valley – first settled by French Huguenot refugees in 1688 – mixes magical ingredients to create unforgettable experiences. The world famous wine estates of Franschhoek encircle the village. On these award-winning vineyards acclaimed winemakers create glorious wines.

There are literally hundreds of wineries to choose from, so we will hand select the very best. Although we have the day loosely planned out, we know from experience that it is a good idea to be flexible with our estate choices!

NOTE: Even though this a Winelands day we are aware of the fact kids need to be entertained as well so we will include stops that the kids will enjoy such as Butterfly World which will keep them engaged while at the same time make sure the adults are able to experience this beautiful and famous region of the Western Cape.

  • Butterfly World – Butterfly World Tropical Garden, one of the more unique attractions of the Western Cape Winelands, consists of a tropical garden in a 1000 m2 green house. This luxuriant paradise makes the free flying exotic butterflies feel right at home along with many other interesting animals who now call Butterfly World Tropical Garden their home.

Arrive back at Babylonstoren in the late afternoon.

Day 6 – Safari Transfer

Following an early breakfast be collected (time TBA) and transfer to Cape Town airport in time to catch a domestic flight to Johannesburg and then onward into the Madikwe Game Reserve where you will land on the private airstrip of Morukuru. Your ranger will be on hand to greet and transfer you in open vehicle to the exclusive use Owners House where you will enjoy a 4-night safari.

Tucked under the leafy canopy of an ancient Morukuru tree (Tamboti Tree), on the banks of the Marico River, lies this perfectly decadent, ultra luxurious home away from home.
Owners House was built by the owners as their own private retreat, with two huge en-suite bedrooms and a choice of shared spaces. Nestled in between the Morukuru Trees, surrounded by decks and balconies, Owner’s House offers plenty of peaceful nooks to hide off alone, or to gather for wonderful al fresco meals. Whether reclining together by your infinity pool, or alone in your private elevated sala, or just lying in bed with the doors wide open, the combination of dappled shade, and the sound of nature is deeply restorative.
The Owner’s House combines contemporary European styling with handpicked African pieces, and every luxury – including a team of 8 staff at your service, home office facilities, a superb wine cellar for your perusal, Wi-Fi connection, stereo system, dvds, cds, a small library stocked with topical books and the opportunity to bathe outside under the stars. Wood, stone and glass provide seamless design flow between in- and outdoors.
