HARARE  –  MANA POOLS NATIONAL PARK  –  LAKE KARIBA  –  HWANGE  –  VICTORIA FALLS

Day 1 :  Harare

Upon arrival to Zimbabwe you will be greeted at the airport and transferred by your private chauffeur to your hotel in Harare city. Being the commercial capital of Zimbabwe, it is teeming with businesses and bustling with people going about their daily work.

Enjoy a pleasant evening getting accustomed to your new surroundings.

Day 2 – 4 : Mana Pools National Park

 

After breakfast you will be transferred to the charter plane that will be taking you to the Mana Pools Ruckomechi Camp National Park in the northwest of the country. Your fantastic luxury lodge enjoys spectacular views of the broad flowing river, adjoining well-defined tree canopy and the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment over the border in Zambia.

Partake in stunning game drives early in the morning or late afternoon in open Land Rovers, explore the surrounding bush with an experienced guide by foot or cruise down the Zambezi River in a six-seater speed boat.

 

For the ultimate romantic experience, we recommend a night in the Star Bed where you can be serenaded by the sounds of nature whilst you gaze up at the starry skies of Africa.

Day 5 – 7 : Lake Kariba

 

A charter flight will take you from Ruckomechi to Kariba airport after breakfast in your lodge. You will soon be embarking aboard the Matusadona yacht where you will gently cruise for 3 nights on the Kariba Lake – one of the jewels in Zambabwe’s crown. During your cruise you will have time to take part in fantastic experiences such as boat safaris and 4×4 safaris in Bumi Hills. Since Lake Kariba has a major population of tiger fish we also recommend trying some game-fishing before you head off to your next stop – the Hwange National Park.

Day 8 – 10 : Hwange National Park

 

After a breakfast onbaord, fly to Linkwasha airstrip by chartered plane, where a 4×4 will be waiting to take you to you Linkwasha Lodge. With over 100 mamal and 400 bird species this is the perfect place to spot the Big Five. Whatsmore, with over 30,000 elephants this national park is one Africa’s largest elephant habitats.

 

Take advantage of both day and night safaris carefully organized by your lodge. Should you wish, a visit to the local village can be arranged just for you.

Day 11 – 13 : Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

 

After breakfast head to the airstrip for a short charter flight to the last and possibly most spectacular point of your Zimbabwean adventure – to Victoria Falls. You will be staying in the fabulous andBeyond Matetsi River Lodge – a luxury lodge that you will instantly fall in love with.

Activities to indulge in at your new home include 4×4 safaris, sunrise/sunset cruises, canoeing on the Zambezi, bird watching, fishing and of course a tour of the infamous Victoria Falls. You can also experience helicopter rides, horseback safaris and rafting for an extra cost.

Day 14 :  Departure day

Enjoy breakfast at your stunning river lodge before heading to Victoria Falls International Airport for your flight home.
